Taking a Plunge
I decided to try something new and start selling things online. I opened an Etsy shop.

I’m working on some jewelry I’m going to put up, but it’s mostly some of my photos right now. I’m trying to decide how much to put into all this, because I don’t know if any of it will sell or not. It’s something I’d love to do, but I also don’t want to stay broke because I put all my money into it. So, we’ll see. It’s fun, anyway.
I’ve been using Flickr some for photos. I tend to upload more there than my photoblog. I’m not sure how much I’ll keep using my photoblog, now that I’m getting into Flickr.
I need to get a front page up for my site. If you go to wovenandspun.net, there’s nothing there. I want to make it a basic page that directs you to other pages, gives you options between my blog, my photos, etc. I pretty much know how I want it to look, and it’s pretty basic, so I really should take a bit of time to get that done. Soon after that, I’d also like to make my own layout for my blog, though I do think this one’s cute. I’m learning web design. I really should design my blog myself. 
Besides all that, I haven’t been up to a whole lot lately. I’m getting over flu/respiratory/sinus stuff, so I haven’t felt up to a lot lately. I’m getting much better, though, which feels nice! Hopefully I will therefore have more to talk about on here, and will update more.

My blog is back! I missed it! It’s been up and down lately, as I’ve been trying to move it from one server to another and had trouble transferring the domain. But as you can see, it’s back now!
I hope to soon actually have something up at the home page, so wovenandspun.net will be a bit more interesting. I’m also working toward getting an Etsy shop up soon, which I’ll link to on here. I’m thinking about having a separate craft blog, where I post pictures of various things I make and link to the Etsy shop. Then if I wanted to give someone the link, they could just go to wovenandspun.net and find my craft stuff. I haven’t yet decided though.

I’m in the middle of switching all of our sites to a different web hosting service, so there may be various technical malfunctions until that’s resolved. I may disable comments until it’s fixed, because any comments added from now until it’s done may be lost. Hopefully we’ll be up and running again soon! I’m tired of the service we have, because it’s almost constantly giving me grief in some way or another, whether it’s one of our sites being down or their site not functioning properly. We’ve been with them for a while now, but from various reviews I’ve been reading, it would seem I’m not the only one with these issues. I find more negative reviews than positive regarding their service. However, I’m only finding positive things about the one we’re switching to, so I have high hopes for their service! Hopefully our sites will be running better once the switch is made.
Also, I added a new section to my profile, which I’ll keep updated with various things I’m reading, interested in, and working on. I’ll add more info soon.

I just viewed my site in IE6, and it looks pretty awful. The formatting is messed up and it’s hard to read, and there’s no menu. If you’re viewing the site in IE6, I apologize, and I’ll work to fix it asap! I had previously checked it in IE7, Firefox, and Opera. Cross-browser issues sure can be a pain! Apparently it’s also having some trouble when not viewed on a widescreen, so I’ll have to see what I can do to fix it. Maybe I’ll find a pre-made layout to use until I can fix this or create a new one.
Also, I’m not sure why, but some of the additional pages aren’t working properly, such as the comments or about page. Not sure what’s going on there either, but sometimes they’ll load and sometimes they won’t.

I wanted to post this separately from the last post, but I got my own domain! I put this on a subdomain of that, and need to decide what to do with the home page. I want to reinstall Photoshop Elements and make a new layout soon. I haven’t reinstalled everything yet from when I erased the hard drive recently. I’d like to post more, both about this and for GreaThings, but I have a splitting headache which I’m trying to keep from becoming a migraine, as well as a lot of dizziness right now. I’ve been fighting that off and on the last few days. So I think I’ll go rest and watch a movie and see if that helps.
